Offered for sale from a extensive private collection of unique firearms is a rare WW2 Browning FN Model 1922 pistol, made in occupied Belgium, circa 1943. After Germany invaded Belgium on May 10, 1940 she consequently had their weapons manufacturing capabilities appropriated for the Third Reich. Several countries adopted the 1922 for their militaries, including Yugoslavia, Greece, Holland, France, Denmark & Finland amongst others but it is the Nazi pistols which are the most desirable. This particular specimen is one of those that was manufactured during the occupation for Nazi Germany & was mainly issued to the Luftwaffe & also utilised by high ranking Nazi Party members (who liked smaller pistols). It features checkered walnut grips (unique to the Nazi examples) & has numerous waffenamts. It comes in an original 'river pebble' holster in immaculate condition marked inside the flap with “dtv4” for the maker next to a clear Nazi eagle with swastika with the number WaA279. The overall condition is original & excellent with the original high polish blue around 95% (see pictures) . The markings are clear and legible & all serial numbers match.
